Retaining Walls

As flat land is becoming scarce and harder to find, retaining walls are becoming more and more widely used to build up or support land and structures. Various building materials over the years have been used to retain the earth like timber, stone, steel, concrete block and various other manmade products.

As most of the retaining walls we build these days are seen, we believe they should not only be practical but a quality feature of your property. We have built walls from 0.6 meters to 6.0 meters high, so let us work with you and talk through the various options we think will work best for your situation.

Types of Retaining Walls Available

We offer four options for your retaining wall requirements:

Retaining Wall Costs

There are many retaining wall options available. The costs will differ considerably depending on your job size, style and look you are after. The variety of retaining wall products will have a large bearing on the price, so let us measure up your area and give you an idea of what’s included in the total cost.

Lighting in your retaining wall is not only practical but looks fantastic at night when all lit up. If you would like lighting in your retaining wall, it needs to be fitted while the wall is being built and prior to the wall getting back-filled. G J Gardner recommended Nigel at “Concrete works ” to us, we were really pleased with his ideas for our pool area, and the finished job looks great. We also used him later for our driveway, and once again, we were extremely happy with the results.
